Typically when you subscribe to an internet service, they want you to use their router/modem.  They charge you $15 a month for that.  You will pay over $1,800 in ten years renting that modem.  I your house is not too large, I can sell you a high quality router/modem and install it for less than $400 and you then own it. If the house is larger, I can find the appropriate setup for you.

One of the problems we are seeing these days is that wireless routers are not giving enough signal coverage for the entire house.  If the wireless router is on one end of the house downstairs, the upstairs bedroom on the other end may have a weak signal. That can be a problem with larger houses. If that is a problem, I can help find solutions for you.
